FAQ’s

The purpose of the visit is to collect information about your property that would assist us with valuing it. This includes the floor area, condition, location, access to the property, local infrastructure and premises, parking availability, any visible defects and outdoor spaces to name but a few! The inspection can last anywhere between ten and thirty minutes depending on the size and type of the property. Naturally a one-bedroom flat takes less time to inspect than a four-bedroom house.

We provide availability across a four-hour window such as 10am to 2pm. Our surveyors will always attempt to call you when they are thirty minutes away to give you notice of their arrival.

Our valuations are valid for three months. Should you require an extension, we can issue a desktop valuation (this carries a lower fee than the initial valuation as we will not visit your property) for a further three months. After six months have elapsed from our first visit, we are required to visit the property again.  

This is not a problem. The value of your property is not affected by purpose of the valuation, so we can always amend the purpose of your valuation if you change your mind. 

Yes, absolutely. We have been valuing for a large number of housing associations for many years and the format of our reports meet their requirements.

Yes. Your improvements may well add value to the property and as long as you meet the criteria and follow the process of your housing association then we can add them to the report where possible.
